Super-Ringo is an alias created by Humberto Matias for a special appearance on the compilation “Our Beat Is Still New”, released by We Play House as a tribute to the legacy of Belgian New Beat.
Following the concept of the project — where each artist adopted a new alias inspired by the spirit of the late-80s scene — Super-Ringo marked Humberto contribution with an original track “Starr”, drawing from the dark, slow and hypnotic aesthetics associated with the genre.
The release brought together a wide range of producers connected to the international underground scene, including JD Twitch, Aril Brikha, San Soda and others, revisiting the atmosphere of New Beat while reinterpreting it through a contemporary lens.

Super-Ringo é um alter ego criado por Humberto Matias para uma participação especial na compilação “Our Beat Is Still New”, lançada pela editora We Play House como homenagem ao legado do New Beat belga.
Seguindo o conceito do projeto — no qual cada artista adotou um novo alias inspirado pelo espírito da cena do final dos anos 80 — Super-Ringo marcou a contribuição de Humberto com o tema original “starr”, que recupera a estética mais sombria, lenta e hipnótica associada ao género.
